Our Story

We started in the backyards of our neighborhood with timeless hours of smoking meats and southern cooking for our friends and family. We open the Fredericksburg Kitchen in 2019 as a family-owned and operated business to provide the community with our values, a good time, and the true meanings of Southern living.

Meet Our Chef

Pit Master Jason Miller began his career at age 15, working as a dishwasher at a local diner. He grew up with a strong sense of family values and southern cooking. Jason started learning the arts of smoking meats at age 17 in his back yard. He spent several years perfecting his craft as a line cook at various smokehouses throughout Virginia.
